Frequently Asked Questions

Most smaller colocation packages are setup within 24 hours. Half or full racks can take up to 72 hours, but please reach out for current setup times. If you need colocation urgently, chat with us – we can expedite the setup process to have you up and running in less than an hour.

Absolutely! We charge $15 per month for each additional network or PDU port. These can be added during the checkout process.

Datacentre access is included in all colocation packages. For 1-10U packages, customers must contact the Intergrid Service Desk at least 15 minutes before arrival. For half and full racks, customers are issued with permanent swipe cards which grant 24×7 access without contacting the Service Desk.

Yes – if you are unable to make it to the datacentre to install your equipment, you can ship the hardware to us for installation. We will securely install it in the datacentre to your specifications. Additional fees may apply.

Remote hands services are available 24×7. On-site staff can assist with server reboots, cabling, debugging hardware and other basic tasks. Remote hands services are billed in 30 minute blocks with emergency work billed at $250 per hour.

Our datacentres feature 24/7 on-site security staff, biometric fingerprint access on every access door, CCTV and ram-raid barriers. Plus, our private suites have another layer of biometric protection to enter each room, with further swipe card locks on every rack.

To determine the maximum draw of your equipment, refer to the Watt rating of each power supply. Then convert this to Amps at 230V. If you’re unsure, have a chat with our team – we’ve crossed paths with most common server equipment so we can help with an estimate.

A key advantage of colocation is the ability to interconnect with other networks in the datacentre. Intergrid can supply discounted cross connects to other networks, as well as both structured or unstructured cabling options between colocation allocations in our suites. Just chat with our team to discuss options for your project.

There is no contract or minimum term for 1-10U packages. However, please note note that at least 30 days notice must be provided for cancellations. For half or full racks, a 12 month contract applies by default, although if you need something shorter please have a chat with our team.

Yes, we can announce your own IP addresses (prefixes larger than a /24) from our network absolutely free of charge.
